CREATIVE PROCESS:

The packaging design for the AKÄL argan oil is inspired by the colours and textures of the Moroccan earth, as well as the golden liquid of the oil. We were looking for a minimalist exterior and a surprising interior that would impress the customers during their unboxing experience. In those terms, the relief and the terracotta are the protagonists on the outside, while the glossy golden background and the roots, leaves, and seeds are the main characters on the inside. Luxury, craftsmanship, and quality were key during the design process. Finally, the chemical properties and the molecular structures are a clear reflection of the founder’s role as a chemist, weaving together the worlds of nature and science into a cohesive and sophisticated brand story.
